Who we are

We are IBHEC-Uganda (Improving basic health in Uganda through E-Content) a community-focused health initiative dedicated to improving basic health knowledge and practices across Uganda. Led by Dr. Atuhaire Justus in partnership with Korea Foundation For International Health Care (KOFIH) and a multidisciplinary team of healthcare professionals, educators, and multimedia specialists, we develop interactive digital health content to educate communities on critical health topics, including Nutrition, First Aid, Water, Sanitation & Hygiene (WASH), and Cervical Cancer Prevention.

Our mission is to empower individuals and communities with practical, culturally-appropriate, and visually engaging e-learning tools, delivered through trained Health Presentation Champions and peer educators. By combining innovative multimedia content with on-site health services such as vaccination and screenings, we aim to strengthen health literacy, promote healthy behaviors, and improve access to essential health services.

At IBHEC-Uganda, we believe that knowledge is the first step toward better health, and our digital solutions create lasting impact, enabling communities to make informed decisions, prevent diseases, and adopt healthier lifestyles.
